It is also gameday 🏈

Every Sunday is your day and for a certain portion of the year Sundays also include the additional element of watching football.

Needless to say I look forward to this time of year and for the last couple years Sunday has also included additional thoughts of you (even though I think about you guys every day….. multiple times 🙂 )

What I have been doing lately is waiting until 4pm on Sunday to watch all the highlights from the 1pm Football games. It is awesome.

Today for you I have a post about the amount of talent, athleticism and teamwork (among many other things) that can be observed during a single High School Football game that would include the marching band, football team, cheerleaders and any other sports like dance that you would expect to see in either marching band or a halftime show.

Your mom was a cheerleader and one of the high flyers too 🧑🏼‍🩰

There is also the “conductor” and sometimes they do baton work

Here is an example:

The video shows the athletes doing the baton in a great example of how much is actually going on at any given moment during the half time show (this was an example of one thing you might see).

Now imagine that being only one of the many things you might watch and enjoy in addition to the Marching Band, the football team, and other things ya might see 🙂

Today I just found out that the world’s best salsa is freshly chopped boiled peppers with water, salt and pepper.

One thing is to have enough water to pepper ratio (and s and p) to briefly soak a chip in the water to spread the salsa out further and get the same vibe.

Today for you I have a post about the concept of crabs in a bucket.

If you were to observe an actual bucket of live crabs you would see them attempting to crawl out and with a plastic bucket the crab has difficulty climbing out however even more difficult for the crab are the other crabs also attempting to crawl out using the crab as something to hold on to because it is easier than the slick surface of the bucket or it is the only thing to crab because of the amount of crabs trying to crawl out (the crab can’t grab the bucket but can grab another crab attempting to pull itself up while also pulling the other crab down).

This saying is about in my opinion the crabs not being able to formally organize. If the crabs pulling on other crabs were to let go, the first crab would make it out then one by one the crabs could all make it out.

Food for thought, no pun intended 🦀

Today for you I have a post about a book known as “The Farmer’s Almanac”.

Upon researching this post I was presented for the first time a narrative that I was unaware of growing up or later in life after knowing what the farmer’s almanac as I knew it was with respect to an alternative book that challenged in some way the farmer’s almanac.

The way I see it is the book was essentially the first “weatherman”. It used astronomical data to predict what future weather patterns would be like for the consideration of those that would need to plan for the elements like farmers.

In our day we have a weather app, the news weather updates and long term weather projections from various astrological institutions. Back then they had few things to assist in these forecast and a book that has years in advance in consideration these days even if it was slightly accurate (meaning half as accurate as a modern weather forecast on the news) it would be extremely impressive.

Today for you I have a post about the passage of time and how it appears to accelerate as I age (seemingly).

This past year has been crazy fast.

I can hardly believe that there are only a little more than 3 months left in 2026❕

With still so much time left this year it also feels like there is hardly any time left.

I noticed this first when growing up before I was an adult (if memory serves me correct).

Christmas used to seem so far away when I was a kid and it was one of the few times a year that I used as a reference to how far away something was (I was born right by Christmas so I did not have a distinction between the separate times of year).

Now I use Black Friday as a reference when considering renewing or potentially new annual subscriptions (to save money with both annual pricing and Black Friday promotional pricing on top of it).

With the holidays right around the corner I am looking forward to my favorite time of year this Autumn.

Visual Basic was made by Microsoft (off the dome) and was software that was used to create apps back in my day. 👴🏿

I would put a dollar on that I have talked about this before on our blog however I felt like bringing it up again because I find it funny how interesting my time growing up had with the overlap of how things began to become so very different.

These days a simple prompt writes an entire app. I had to learn how to code.
